Well, time for another reunion - I presume :-)

We all tried were able to make it - yes, I am talking of the last REUNION we all had at Chandigarh. Well now (I guess) we are all looking forward to yet another one - right friends ?

I volunteer to be the 'unchoosen' organiser!

Now, as a pre-requisite, I would want each of us to contribute as to where you think should be the place where we should have the next reunion? Travelling as such for any of us should not be much of a problem and I suggest it should be a holiday detination for the FAMILY. (Now no more reunions without families please - unless and untill unavoaidable or excluding the ones who still fortunately are bachelors !!!)

Also, add other points too like.................. staying arrangements, travelling arrangements, dates, days........... so on and so forth.

So, put on your travelling cap, tighten your belts, dust your godamn travelling jeans and above all refresh you memories of the good-ole-days !!!

Anxiously awaiting your response right here mates.

Jacob George

  1. After March (kids exams), any tourist destination not too far from Chd... Kasauli or some similar resort.... Bainkunth Resort is good option.. though a bit costly.. but then we all can and will contribute (monetarily too) to make it memorable, I am only suggesting though.

  4. December 25th-31st of any year is the best time to celebrate moments with the person you love the most...I mean friends too. One can forget the world and take a retreat and be healed for the next year...

  6. Any day any place any time of the month suits as long as we all with our families are meeting
yes for sure kiddos have to go through the mundane exercise of giving exams in march.

  7. My two cents:-)

We should work out the logistics (Time and financial commitment) so that everyone knows what is required.

I rather have everyone on board somewhere logistically feasible than just a few flying over to Timbuktu.

Can we plan some activity for kids? rather than having them watch their drunk parents dance..

  11. December seems to be so far off... this summer could be a happening time... Kerala is a good idea as it is new place for most of us... and is "God's own country"...

  13. "No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other's worth."

The anticipation of seeing the face of a dear friend after being separated for many- many years is an odd feeling. I wish I could describe the combination of regret and joy. Regret for not making any effort to get in touch with them for so many years & joy of at last realizing now that what I’m missing them in life.
Those were the most memorable day we guys had spent together – with only worry about how we can manage little money for our cricket ball or little more money for VCR & movies. And of course how we can forget the new year bash on the roof top with xxx Fauji Rum & Chicken prepared by Anurag’s Father & Laddi breaking doors for Bonfire. After celebrating many New Year huge parties in all kind of fancy places – I still feel there is no comparison of Joy & happiness what we use to get in those small gathering.
Today with the Gods grace, we all are well off & can spend any amount of money for our joy & happiness. But my wish for this reunion is to recreate the past at the same place with no big bash, just sit close with few drinks & remember all those moments of joy.
This reunion should be exclusively for our gang – which was most hated by the neighborhood of Sector 31.
Lets make a determined resolve to make this reunion a big success. The venue of course shall be Chandigarh, date we can decide mutually. I just need one month’s notice. Next reunion can be anywhere – may be in Jaipur.
Thru this blog I would like to pay my heartiest condolence to all our friends who have lost their lovingly parents or the love ones.
I would like to request to all our friends, while contributing towards this blog please do mention about the welfare of their respected parents also.
How we can forget them when we remember our fun-full life under the very shadow of their protection & blessing.
Last, but not the least thanks to INDIAN AIR FORCE for providing decent home, xxx Rum, Mess to eat etc. and of course for giving us Great Friends to be cherished whole life.
Friends! please give George boy a pat on the ass for initiating this blog – he deserves this !!!!
    With Love to all Friends

  14. Hmmmmmmmmmmm............. food for thought from Devendra Singh Rajput, as colourful as he can be and to add to the punjabi touch (no offense intended) HE HAS SOME RAJASTHANI colours too !! Interesting thoughts and interesting retrospection. Appreciated Deepu boss.

I missed about parents (thanks Deepu for reminding) - All those who left - may their sould Rest-In-Peace and all those who are with us - may God Almighty give them the courage to lead a healthy, dignified and most supportive life in these times of absolute so called independence.

Now I need to add for the guys who are keeping mum to open up and blare it out - loud and clear. There needs to be some where, some place OR some den where we can be together....... and feel the togetherness.

  15. jaipur is fun Rajput...remember the last time bhabhi and we had coffee at Jawahar Kala Kendra... not a bad idea to meet in Jaipur even beyond that where there is the ambience of deserts, sand, sun and the open lap of nature..

  16. dear jacob,
Hi!!!It is a great thought to have the reunion once again . I think it should be in shimla if it is during summers or in Jaipur if it is during winters. The ideal time will be when kanwar is planning his trip to India. It should be a memorable event for all of us so that we can share the good old memories with our dear ones. Life is too short so lets enjoy and make the best out of it. Its a great idea and at least you have taken the initiative. We will all contribute for the entire trip. I think you can start planning the trip and work out the modalities but it will be better in the month of June when all the children have got holidays. Rest depends on the convenience of everybody. Sorry for responding so veryyyyyyyy late. I think you will forgive me.

I am sure you all remember me.
